I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get to halfway through the week feeling weighed down by everything that’s happened.
Luckily, there is something that you can do immediately to make you feel better.
Wherever you are, stand up and shake it out! Maybe put on your favourite song, stretch, shake, do whatever you can to get your body moving.
Not as silly as it sounds
It might sound silly, you might even feel a little bit silly but, trust me, you will actually feel much better.
Physiologically speaking, we are the only species who when we go into fight or flight (which sadly happens so much in the average day, especially for communications leaders and at the moment as we run up to the next general election) we physically hold that tension.
Your pet has a point
So, by standing up, by shaking it off, you actually reset your body. If you have a pet, just think about how they act after an unfortunate encounter. They shake it off.
So however you do it, whenever you do it, just give it a try and let me know how you get on. I always read my emails, so feel free to reply to this email and I will get back to you.
